What do these numbers mean?

When I last travelled with my sister Tiffani, she was always seeing double numbers. I never did. It became somewhat annoying to me and I wondered how she subconsciously was able to look at the time on her phone over and over again and capture these double digits. 🙂

Later in Phuket, my friend Virlane also revealed her ability to see these numbers. It became an ongoing joke. She would send me snap shots throughout the day of her double digit finds. I still never saw them and wondered if she and Tiffani were in touch with the spirits in ways others were not. But this last week, it happened. To me. Over and over again.

I told KangKang about it and she forwarded the quote below to me. She is a master at finding quotes I can relate to or that calm my soul. I have been struggling a bit settling back into my life in the US, in every way. This reassured me that maybe I was on the right track.

Earlier this month, my Vietnamese student asked me what my birthday was and then calculated my spirit/ruling number. I then looked up what it meant and was truly stunned at how accurate the number read my personality. They say God is a mathematician. I am starting to believe there is truth to that.

What is the definition of 3 in Numerology?

The 3 has a tendency to thrive in an upbeat and engaging atmosphere. Its energy is youthful and positive and it has an incredible zest for life. It dances from one enjoyable experience to the next, eager to interact with others along the way. The prized skill of the number 3 is communication and it uses this talent to build a wide and interesting circle of friends, lovers, and kindred spirits.

The 3 is highly original and embraces unique thinking and creative expression. This number’s artistic, curious nature allows it to convey abstract ideas and find solutions others may miss. A child at heart, the number 3 never misses a chance to have fun, engage with others, and express all the love and joy it embodies.

Strengths of the number 3

Communicative: The 3 is a communicator through and through and shines in all forms of expression. It is bursting with thoughts, ideas, dreams, and musings and must let them out to the world. The number 3 is the “ideas person,” and by sharing these notions it attracts supportive energies that can turn its ideas into real plans.

Artistic: Color, music, creation … anything that engages the senses has the number 3 written all over it. It realizes the written and spoken word can only take us so far. Words can communicate ideas, but to express our feelings we need the unparalleled power of art.

Charming: The number 3 has an easy time attracting other people with its magnetic personality. Its lighthearted demeanor and ability to communicate well combine to create a natural charisma that gets and keeps others’ attention. Without even trying, the 3 in Numerology is the apple of everyone’s eye.

Weaknesses of the number 3

Naive: The young and innocent nature of the number 3 in Numerology makes it very unaware of the realities of the world. Because it hasn’t had any experience to develop this mature wisdom, it is susceptible to making poor decisions, putting itself in bad situations, and getting burned by others.

Unfocused: This number suffers from shiny-object syndrome. It is excited by everything it sees and won’t spend much time looking in one direction before shifting focus elsewhere. It is so full of enthusiastic energy that it just wants to live and love and laugh and create … which means real-life goals and progress fall by the wayside.

Shallow: The 3 in Numerology prefers to live on the surface of life and relationships. To go deeper would mean opening itself to potential negativity and having to relate to feelings and situations that it doesn’t have much experience with. This number puts pleasure before growth — if it isn’t lighthearted and enjoyable, the 3 would rather not participate at all.

Life Path 3 meaning in Numerology

Charming, romantic, and full of creative energy, people who were born with a 3 Life Path number know how to embrace life! They tend to see the world through rose-colored lenses where everything looks like an opportunity and the chances for expression and enjoyment are endless. They have a tendency to be skilled communicators and have a knack for coming up with and sharing brilliant ideas. The Life Path 3 makes an excellent journalist, blogger, social media influencer, or author.

People with a Life Path number 3 enjoy an active social life where they can interact with others often. From the moment of birth, their light is warm and exciting and draws many friends and admirers. They tend to be extroverted and embrace any opportunity to show off their original thoughts and stand-out personality. They have a way with words and can charm their way into anyone’s heart.

But while Life Path number 3 people are great at attracting others, forming real, deep bonds is the difficult part. They want to keep things fun and new but feel they have to give that up if they make themselves vulnerable to intimacy. Those with this Life Path live in the moment, so the idea of committing to anything long-term can be a daunting one.

A person with this Life Path number is very fun to be around, but could also benefit from embracing a deeper, more spiritual side of life. While those with a 3 Life Path truly enjoy who they are and what they do, there’s a more meaningful level of experience and emotion that people with this Life Path may never even know exists. It’s an untapped well of ideas to explore and engage with if they will muster up the courage to go to a deeper, more spiritual level.

Though people born with a 3 Life Path number in Numerology will be dealt both joy and hardship just like the rest of us, their unique way of thinking and dedication to happiness allow them to always see the silver lining. The power of positivity goes a long way for people with this Life Path.

Busy Bee Restaurant, Oakley

I heard many great things about this locally owned and operated breakfast/lunch spot in Oakley but never experienced it before. Usually there is a mile long line out front on the weekends, with customers waiting to get in, so I avoid it. After our morning walk, Rebecca and I decided to stop in for a bite to eat. She is gluten and dairy free -this place has excellent menu options to accommodate her. They even offer vegan goetta.

I loved the decor, theme, service and food. Was an excellent way to start my weekend. Great company, soul feeding conversation and local bacon that alone was worth the trip!

The place is themed out with bee designs and honeycomb shapes. They did an excellent job social distancing the interior.
I understand the owners also own a glass making studio. Much of the interior decor was glass art.
The chandelier was made from glass flowers. I loved it.
Along the wall hung glass toasts. That would’ve been a fun project to be part of creating.
Even the plant was unique.
An educational chart displayed various types of bees. I notice so many more bees out this year which warms my heart considering all the good they do for the environment.
Collage of bee art on the walls capturing children’s imaginations.

Signs, Signs, Everywhere are Signs

Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind
Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?

And the sign said “Long-haired freaky people need not apply”
So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why
He said “You look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you’ll do”
So I took off my hat, I said “Imagine that. Huh! Me workin’ for you!”

And the sign said anybody caught trespassin’ would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and-a yelled at the house
“Hey! What gives you the right?”
“To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in”
“If God was here he’d tell you to your face, man, you’re some kinda sinner

“Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind
Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?

Now, hey you, mister, can’t you read?
You’ve got to have a shirt and tie to get a seat
You can’t even watch, no you can’t eat
You ain’t supposed to be here
The sign said you got to have a membership card to get inside

And the sign said, “Everybody welcome. Come in, kneel down and pray”
But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all
I didn’t have a penny to pay
So I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign
I said, “Thank you, Lord, for thinkin’ ’bout me. I’m alive and doin’ fine”

FIVE MAN ELECTRICAL BAND- 1971 SONG LYRICS

As I walked around the prestigious neighborhood of Hyde Park I was happy to see the fight for justice and love alive and well.
Instead of political signs, there are signs about what matters most.
Love this show of support for our melting pot neighbors!
Says it all.
Well said. And if we can’t then shame on us as Americans.
Not sure who lives here, but very creative expression of their COVID concerns.
Clever little social distancing sign at the parks.
I mentioned to my neighbor Nancy, who owns the front half of our condo, that we needed a sign for our yard. She constructed this one by hand so we can put out front. Love my neighbors.
Signs from the universe. -- that I keep choosing to ignore haha

Greenville Falls, Covington, Ohio

Driving through rural Ohio can be as breathtaking as it is frightening at times. I was admiring the antique sales along the route and the white picket fences onlooking a pasture of green corn fields, blue skies and red barns. Then I came across a camouflaged painted pickup truck with a fully tattooed faced redneck driving with no teeth. Ah, the beauty in the country.

Unbeknownst to me, since I was simply chasing waterfalls, I discovered Greenville Falls is actually a historic site.

Greenville Falls houses remnants of the wooden dam, the Albery mill building and electrical power equipment which remain at the park. Interpretive signs along the trail tell the story of Greenville Falls.

Albery and Sons built a dam across Greenville Creek a little more than a mile from Covington, Ohio. At this site, they constructed a power plant where the twenty-eight foot fall turned the generator to supply the first electric power to Covington. This plant was one of the best hydro-electric plants in the state and later furnished electricity to Pleasant Hill, Ludlow Falls and a number of rural lines.

The walkway down to the creek.
Part of the historic equipment still onsite.
There were a lot of historic signs along the mile long trail.
Probably if I were an electrical engineer, this may be interesting to me. But I’m not.
One sign I stopped to read talked about an ice house they also kept here, digging out blocks of ice from the water during winter months. I wonder now with global warming if this creek even freezes over at all.
Hiking down to catch falls.
They were not too impressive, but at least this time there was water flowing 🙂
This is true Ohio. Complete with a man fishing. On any dating site, I immediately swipe left if there is a photo of a man holding up a fish/his proud catch.
This sign was completely unnecessary. There was nothing remotely dangerous about this area. Maybe it stops a lawsuit if a toddler escapes?
I sat and listened for a bit. Trying to clear my head.

Charleston Falls Preserve, Ohio

In my attempt to chase waterfalls, I googled three options located near each other close to Dayton, Ohio. I texted my friend Denise who lives in Dayton to see if she’d be willing to meet me. It has been outstanding weather here and I do not want to waste a single day of it if I can help it. Sun and nature bring out the best in my soul and I need to keep feeding it to avoid the pitfalls that America’s unhealthy energy can pull me into.

I was pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem along an innocent country road near Tipp City.
Most of this 2 mile hike was in the shade on beautifully kept trails with no steep inclines.
Love the covid sign. Everyone was abiding and being patient with others if there was a bridge/conflict with groups intersecting. I was impressed by the consideration.
Fallen trees, you know it’s my thing’.
We saw a pathway that led down some steps. I could only assume this is where the waterfall must be.
Always loving life that emerges from the crevices.
A perfect natural alcove.
I was impressed by the upkeep and literally no litter. So refreshing.
Selfie moment.
The lighting was so pretty here. I forced Denise unwillingly to allow me to take her photo.
I loved this walkway, but was disappointed that there was no water on the falls. It hasn’t rained here in a week, so wasn’t sure what to expect. Now I know, this may be better after a couple storms.
Looking up.
How do these roots still hold up this tree? Just appreciate.
The trail’s natural walkways. Denise kept her social distance from me, so I could always turn around and capture her behind me.
I absolutely love this bark. The texture. The story.
This one had so many knots and broken limbs but still kept reaching toward the sky for survival.
They even placed stepping stones for us old folks to get across the stream.
As we followed the trail it led us to this prairie which reminded me of my favorite tv show growing up, “Little House on the Prairie”. I so wanted to be Laura /half pint in that series.
Laura Ingalls Wilder only had one good Thanksgiving in the Little ...
Such a classic American show.

“I’m not a preacher, and I’m certainly not a good example, but I have my own feelings about God. I’m kind of a nature guy. My cathedral is forests, or the prairies, or the beach.”

California Woods, Ohio

Hiking is an excellent way to meet friends in a proper social distancing environment. Using my new handy Alltrails app, I found this 4 star trail that was located somewhat in between where Linda and I both live. Neither of us had ever been there, so it was fun to check it out and get lost together in hike and conversation.

There were a lot of fallen trees. Some of the trails were closed due to the issue. I always admire the roots of this natural phenomenon. I wonder what was the straw that broke this tree’s back. Or was it simply his time to go.
I realize it’s vandalism, but I always love the passion of lovers carving their names into a tree.
We stumbled upon this ring, which I am sure is meant for girl-boy scout groups. Linda claimed it as our badass circle!
Looking up. Always. Taking time to admire the view from below. Keeping perspective.
Following these steps led us to an open field. Surely used for witchcraft.:)
There was a stream and we did our best to remember how to skip stones.
Something about the natural beauty of how all this was layered. I had to snap a photo.
The trees in Ohio are diverse, strong and as magnificent as its women here.
Two badass Ohioans. Always seeking the beauty in our friendship, God believing selves and adventures.

Peaceful Acres Lavender Farm- Martinville, Ohio

In seeking mode this summer, I started looking for places to visit that may bring joy my way. Natural beauty is a sure bet for uplifting my soul. On Facebook I discovered there were lavender farms in my area. Doesn’t that sound amazing?

I convinced my daughter Zoe to take the hour drive with me. She navigated through winding country roads where both of us were a bit nervous, seeing some “Guns and God TRUMP signs”, but we eventually made it to the oasis.

It was a beautiful overcast, zero humidity day.
Adorable Zoe posing by the mosaic peace sign.
I bent down to smell the lavender. The scent was not as strong as anticipated. Zoe cracked me up by saying, “we have this in our backyard.”

The hour drive was a bust and I personally would not recommend it. Maybe it was less eventful due to Covid or possibly the time of year we went. Regardless, it was a reminder that seeking beauty doesn’t always guarantee it.

On the drive we passed this quaint church in the middle of the country and I asked Zoe to snap a photo. Something about its simplicity in the landscape was quiet and admirable.
When we turned a corner off a state route, this old factory/mill had a color and presence that captured my attention.

Settling into new Colors

I wanted to do a quick post as I noticed how different my colors are here in Cincy vs Phuket.

When I left Phuket, with my two suitcases, I took a quick photo for memory sake. I noticed now when looking back, how drab the coloration of the condo was. I loved it, don’t get me wrong, but it’s interesting to me the contrast between then and now.

In Phuket, everything inside my condo was grey, taupe, black and white. But the landscape was unreal in colorations of turquoise, blue and green.

Now my interior is vibrant and bold, like my suitcases. The landscape here is more earthy with greys and browns, with the occasional foliage green color. I have always loved color. In general it affects my moods. Anyone else have this awareness of color effects on their emotions?

The last shot I took of my condo.
New view in my Cincy condo. My desk now sits in front of the window which occasionally causes issues with lighting and heat with no escape from the sun in the afternoons.
I had canvas art made from some of the photos I took during my last month’s adventures in Phuket. They work perfectly in my room and remind me of my journeys and the joy discovered there.

My Backyard Getaway

Being back in the USA city life, without beaches nearby to aid in my mental retreat, I feel very fortunate to have a getaway in my own backyard. I live in the heart of Cincinnati, in the middle of urban historic suburbia. Our neighborhood was the first established suburb of Cincinnati in 1837. The District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 28, 1973 (No. 73001464). Mount Auburn was founded as a hilltop retreat for Cincinnati’s social elite where wealthier people could escape the dirt, heat, smoke and crowded conditions of the lower city.

We have a little paradise in our hood thanks to our neighbors! They have invested in landscaping what once was an unuseable piece of land, filled with weeds and in need of love. The below photos will show the miracle that transformed combining two yards together in what is now a cherished piece of property that all the neighbors enjoy.

Our houses are all close together and this gem can only be seen from the back. There are soon to be chickens added as well as a napping hammock for your truly. (❤️my neighbors)

French Park- Amberley Village

I used to work right up the street from this park but have never fully experienced it. Last week I met Traci here for breakfast, a great outdoor area with picnic tables, perfect shade and social distancing. She told me there were trails here which I never realized before.

Today I met Jeff at this same park for a Starbuck’s caramel macchiato treat, with plans to hike afterwards. He had a two hour window of freedom which I was thankful to take advantage of and catch up.

While sitting at the picnic tables, this moth would NOT leave him alone. So for two hours it flew around him, landed continually on him and never left his side. Yes, his fingers are a mile long 🙂
This was the entrance to the trails. I looked it up on my new AllTrails app and it noted it as a 2.9 mile loop hike.
The trails were perfectly manicured and considering the storms that came through the night before, quite dry and manageable.
Sun was brewing through the trees.
Spotted this deer quietly watching me. When we were sitting at the picnic tables earlier, we spotted a full grown buck pridefully crossing the park grounds in no hurry whatsoever.
